SUNDAY was cold but dry as the big day arrived for hundreds taking part in the Tralee Marathon events from the Tralee Bay Wetlands.
Sponsored by Kerry’s Eye and hosted by Tralee Harriers, there were almost 800 entries for the marathon, half-marathon, 10k and 5k races.
There was a great atmosphere at the Wetlands as runners cheered on fellow participants home at the finish where they received their medals.
The marathon was won by Alex O’Shea in a time of 2:38:22. He was followed by Tralee Harriers man Derek Griffin in 2:39:16 while Mick McKenna was third in 2:42:38.
There was a host of other winners in various categories which can be viewed by clicking here. We captured some of the atmosphere at the line when 5k, 10k and half-marathon runners were finishing. Scroll down for photos…
