FEW places of worship in the county can rival the Church of the Purification in Churchill for views on a fine day.
Lucky then for the fourth class pupils of Spa NS that the sun was beaming down on them as they arrived at the church on Saturday morning for their belated First Holy Communion ceremony.
Fr Pat Crean Lynch, who moved from Spa to become PP in Ardfert during the summer, came back to celebrate Mass for the pupils who were delighted the day had finally come.
With the beautiful weather, families were able to relax and pose for photos outside afterwards before heading off for private celebrations. Scroll down for photos…
