MADDENS Creative Hub on Milk Market Lane opened its doors last night to the businesses and people of Tralee town to give details of a special project.
Creative director of Maddens, Rebekah Wall, welcomed a full house to the ‘Turning Tide’ initiative, which promises to showcase the best of our town through the eyes of artists.
The hub has been working in conjunction with several stakeholders within the town over the past number of months.
The thinking and belief behind this project is to identify areas within the streets and alleyways in Tralee so they may be rejuvenated by any of the 47 artists currently housed within Maddens walls.

Rebekah spoke of the pride that has been, to some extent, forgotten for our town and about how so many different industries and collectives are striving to regenerate their areas alone.
“It is time we worked together and remembered why we love Tralee, Tralee is now asking for us to love her back,” she said.
It was a call to arms for all businesses, landlords and landladies within the town to come to Maddens and work hand in hand with any of the artists in bringing their vision for the town to life.
