PHOTOS: Maddens Hosts Barbara’s Book Launch

MADDENS on Milk Market Lance proved the perfect spot for the launch of a local writer’s first foray into literary fiction on Friday evening.

Barbara Byar, an American native who has lived in Kerry for many years now, launched her debut short fiction collection, ‘Some Days are Better than Ours’ with the help of Deirdre Walsh from Radio Kerry.

There was a large crowd present and they enjoyed wine, nibbles, readings and a chance to ask questions of the author.

Barbara is a former Novel Fair winner, her short fiction has been published widely and listed for various competitions, including the Bare Fiction Prize and the Over the Edge New Writer of the Year Award.
