STUDENTS from Tralee schools gathered at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Tuesday for the annual Parishes Day for transition years.
The three parishes of St John’s, Our Lady and St Brendan’s and Spa/Churchill form an Area Council to organise the event.
The morning saw a talk on climate change, followed by speakers on youth ministry and two students spoke of their experience working with the parish.

The afternoon saw Elma Walsh of the Donal Walsh LiveLife Foundation speak about the work they do.
“This is our tenth year organising an event for the transition years,” said Fr Padraig Walsh of Our Lady and St Brendan’s Parish. “It’s a day for reflection for young people. We try to present topics which would be of interest to them and connect that with the gospel message,” he said. Scroll down for photos…
