STORIES and images of families in the Mitchels Boherbee area are contained in the new calendar and CD from the Mitchels Boherbee Historical & Heritage Group.

The launch of their 10th anniversary calendar and fifth Volume of the CD took place in the The Munster Bar at 7.30pm.

Micheal Scannell Director of Services, Job Creation and Sustainable Economic Development  with the Kerry County Council officially launched the calendar which features  the Mullins, Moriarty and Breathnach families.

“One of the themes we adopted this year was emigrants stories,” said Paula O’Sullivan from the group. “We got a few stories and photos from people who had left the area. Pat Moriarty sent us many photos after seeing the story in TraleeToday.ie. The McDonagh family also saw the notice in TraleeToday.ie and sent us in material.”
