SIAMSA Tire was the venue last night for a special preview screening of a film written by a Tralee woman.
Hosted by the Kerry International Film Festival (KIFF), over 250 people came to the Tralee premiere of ‘Sunlight’, which was attended by writer Ailbhe Keogan and one of the lead actors in the film, Barry Ward, who also took part in a Q & A session after the screening.
Ailbhe has previously written ‘Joyride’ — filmed in Kerry back in 2021 — ‘Run & Jump’, and was also involved in the writing of episodes of the acclaimed Apple TV show ‘Bad Sisters’ among other projects.

Sunlight is directed by award-winning Claire Dix (Broken Song, Take Me Swimming). Kerry International Film Festival was thrilled to showcase the preview which is being released by Wildcard Distribution in selected theatres nationwide on Friday, June 16.
