Pitch and Putt 1

At the Danny Nolan Memorial Kerry 2-Ball Scramble were Jamie Blake (Tralee), Paul Cronin (Deerpark), John O’halloran (Gleneagle), Damien Fleming (Deerpark), Con Buckley (Newmarket), John O’Brien (Deerpark) and Hugh O’Sullivan (Deerpark).

THE Danny Nolan Memorial Kerry 2-Ball Scramble took place in Deerpark, Killarney, on Sunday, April 3 and a Tralee man was among the winners on the day.

The second gross with a score of twenty-six under were the pair of Deerpark’s Damien Fleming and Newmarket’s Con Buckley but they were pipped into second by the team of Tralee’s Jamie Blake and Gleneagle’s John O’Halloran, who had a score of twenty-seven under.

Other winners were Deerpark’s Paul Cronin, who won the The hole-in-one prize for his shot on the eighteenth while the second nett winners were Deerpark’s duo, Mike O’Connor and John O’Brien, but the overall winning pair was Kieran Fitzpatrick and Hugh O’Sullivan.

The weather was fantastic and it was reflected in the scoring on the day. There was great support from the Kerry clubs and especially from Deerpark, the host club, to pay memory to Danny, who was a stalwart for many years.

Next up is the Munster Match-Play qualifiers, which will take place in Tralee, on Wednesday April 20, at 6 pm. Players are reminded that the dress code will be in place.
