Presentation Students Hear About Careers From Past Pupils

Students and past pupils at the career paths event on Friday.

LEAVING Certificate Presentation Tralee students were given a one of a kind opportunity on Friday last from an enthusiastic cohort of the school’s past pupils on the career paths they have chosen.

Using the format of a parent/teacher meeting, students were enabled to work in small groups with our past pupils.

This unique initiative, now in its fourth year, co-ordinated by Guidance Counsellors Mary Mulcahy and Paula O’Hanlon, has proven to be popular with Leaving Certs feeling more assured and confident afterwards.

“We are indebted to our past pupils who offer invaluable advice on course content, career prospects and the highs and lows of college life,” said Ms.Mulcahy.

“Our past pupils love the idea of giving back to their former alma mater and it is a lovely way to say thank you.”
