THERE were great celebrations in Dublin this afternoon when a team from a Tralee school won an All-Ireland basketball title.
Presentation Secondary School girls were victorious in the All-Ireland U16B Schools League Final at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.
The Pres Panthers beat Loreto Bray by 41 to 37 to claim the title. The girls were given a great send-off this morning before they travelled to Dublin and they had no shortage of support with many pupils making the journey to cheer them on.

It’s a happy ending to the week for Tralee students after Mercy Mounthawk teams suffered disappointment in three All-Ireland finals at the venue yesterday.
Commiserations to them, but it shows the amazing talent in Mounthawk to be able to reach three deciders and they can take consolation from the All-Ireland Cup win by U19 boys a month ago.
