THE rail strike has been called at Iarnród Éireann meaning the chaos for Kerry fans on All-Ireland day has been averted.
Rail tickets for Sunday, September 21, will now go on sale at 11am today (Wednesday) so if you’re planning on going up on the day by train make sure you log on to www.irishrail.ie this morning.
Tens of thousands of people were set to face disruption on September 7, 8 and 21 but representatives from SIPTU, the NBRU and Iarnród Éireann management emerged from talks at 1.30am with both sides in the dispute agreeing on a new set of proposals.
Iarnród Éireann has said full services will now operate on those dates.
