THERE has been a sharp increase in the price of petrol around town over the last month and there isn’t a lot of difference between the vast majority of the town’s 13 garages.
Over the course of a month petrol has risen by €0.05 per litre at most of the town’s garages.
Six stations are offering an identical price of €1.29.8 per litre. They are: Both Top and Applegreen garages, Monavalley Service Station and Topaz in Clash.

Following close behind are four garages offering €1.29.9 per litre. They are: Both Inver garages, Texaco in Blennerville and Esso on the North Circular Road.
The most expensive places to buy petrol are: Topaz garages in Manor West and Mounthawk along with Texaco in Oakpark.
