REPORTS

(Senior) Premier A ; Rattoo Rovers 2-1 Park Fc

We opened this game with nice swift passing and looked very comfortable during the first ten minutes. Then against the run of play we conceded what could be described as poor basic housekeeping. The Park enjoyed the greater share of possession but to no avail. The Park had achieved several excellent crosses but no one got into the box to score.

Fergal Maunsell was playing very well and Sean Dukes was excelling down the right wing. Rattoo’s second again came against the run of play when we failed to contest the simplest of Rattoo crosses. With 68 mins gone Mark O Sullivan replaced Adam Barrett and some positional changes were made. O Sullivan gave us an added bit of strength and cunning at the centre of midfield . With just ten minutes remaining Jack Kelliher replaced David Courtney.

At this point of the game we were really putting pressure on Ratoo and it eventually was rewarded with a well taken goal by Sean Dukes. During the five minutes that remained the Park hit the wood work and had three corners. Man of the Match was Fergal Maunsell and very closely followed by Sean Dukes who was making his senior debut on the day.
