IT was a great night for renewing old friendships and making new connections at Stoker’s Lodge on Saturday, as the St John’s Park residents held a reunion for past and present residents.
“The night is a great get-together for neighbours who grew up together around St John’s Park,” said organiser Helen Walsh. “Many of us have moved away now – I myself am gone forty years – but it is great to get us all back together,” she said.
Speaking about getting in contact with everyone, Helen said: “It wasn’t too bad, I was beginning to panic on Thursday but by Friday I knew it was going to get together and fall into place.”
Many old friends caught up and new residents of the estate – which was built back in the 1950s – got to meet and connect with residents of the past.
With food, live music and a DJ, a fun night was had by all.
