Lotto

With the recent government announcement on the extension of the Covid-19 restrictions, our club lotto remains suspended. We will hopefully review the situation during the week of the 5th May and will act in line with the Government / HSE advice at that time.

While this is a regrettable decision it is necessary to safeguard the health of our club officer’s lotto players and our many promoters.

We thank all our promoters and supporters of the St. Pats Club Lotto and we look forward to your support again hopefully in the not too distant future.

Update on Club and Inter-county Championship Games

As with government directives, all club activities remain suspended until the 5th of May.

The Senior inter-county championships, scheduled to begin in May, will be postponed until further clarity on the current situation is available.

However, it is the GAA’s view that it is highly unlikely these will be rescheduled any time before the beginning of July, at the earliest. This could mean a condensation of fixtures or even cancellations.

A special congress held remotely last Friday unanimously approved rule changes to allow the association to adequately and effectively respond to unforeseen circumstances, such as the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. This declaration, if approved by Central Council, means that the management committee can take on the power to make or adapt rules including changing competition structures that is usually reserved for annual Congress.

Covid-19 (Corona Virus) Guidelines for Use of Open Public Spaces

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions which is having a major impact on the way we live our lives and how we stay connected as a community, it is also important that we take care of our physical and mental well-being.

To achieve this and still abide by the Public Health guidelines, we have been advised to

Stay local – Don’t travel more than 2km from home unless going out for essential items such as food and medicine.
Keep your distance – When going out for a walk, please keep a distance of 2metres from other people
Stay within your own household group
Use the outdoors respectfully – Be mindful of others with whom you are sharing public space. If walking a dog, please keep it on a lead and clean up after you should the need arise.
Follow Public Health Advise – Please make sure to wash your hands for 30 seconds before you leave home and when you return home.

Covid-19 Community Response

As part of the government response to this pandemic, they, through the Kerry GAA has established a Covid-19 Community Call Forum.

This forum in conjunction with Kerry GAA aims to provide support and/or services such as collection and delivery of essential items such as food, fuel or medicine or support if you are experiencing social isolation or cocooning.

The FREEPHONE number to call is 1800 807 009 and Kerry CoCo will contact our club coordinator who will get in touch with our club volunteers who have kindly agreed to provide assistance. You can also text “SUPPORT” followed by your name to 50555 or email: covidsupport@kerrycoco.ie. This service is available from 8am to8pm, 7 days a week.
