Many thanks to all who contribute to our weekly Club Lotto. The Club cannot emphasise enough the importance of our members promoting the Club Lotto among family, friends and work colleagues. The Covid-19 restrictions have seriously hampered our fundraising and income over the last 15 months. The Lotto is now a critical source of funds for the Club. We are appealing to all club members to promote our lotto at this time to ensure our clubs future viability.
Please have your lotto entries in by 7pm, every Sunday evenings.

Juvenile Academy

Our underage teams will kick start our 2021 football season in what will be a busy week of football with the Minors taking centre stage on Monday and this will be followed by our U15s who will be playing on Wednesday and our U13’s the following Sunday.

Best of luck to all players representing the club as well as our coaches who have prepared the teams for these games.

Best wishes and thanks to club referee, Tom Guerin who will be referring on behalf of our club.

U5’s: Another wonderfully sunny Sunday saw a great turnout of boys and girls. Everyone enjoyed a variety of fun drills and games. Stephen Boyle put in superb effort and participation to earn player of the week.

U7’s: An excellent session was had this morning in great conditions.
Numbers for both boys and girls were excellent.

Thanks to the trainers who helped out, Paudi, Noel, john, Martina, Paul Lynch. And a big thanks to our U13 players Jack, Zach and Dara for helping out

Players of the week were Rian Bailey and Olivia Lynch.

U9’s: We had a great session with our u9s this week. Flynn took home the player of the week award showing huge improvement and ball skills. Dylan Murphy put in some great tackles and the green team came out victorious in our mini games.

We start go games on Tuesday 22nd July and will play games every second Tuesday along with our usual Sunday morning training.

U11’s: Our u11’s trained last Friday evening and Sunday morning. The coaches were glad to see a huge turnout again this week, especially on an unseasonally cold and wet evening last Friday. Our session combined fun games with skills development. On Friday we worked on marking and tackling skills and finished with a mini game. On Sunday we had a warmup and a full practice game. With our Go games starting next week, the coaches were very happy to see the progress the players are making with their skill levels. There were excellent displays from Jake Kelly, Lainey Costello, Gearóid Hingston and Dee Hanly.

Training continues next Friday 11th June at 6p.m. and the following Sunday at 12 noon at St Pat’s club grounds in Blennerville V92 RH98. A reminder to parents that all players are to have a gum shield and to wear it at training and to complete the Health Declaration before each training session on www.foireann.ie

U9-12 Girls: Well done to all the girls who attended this morning, the mix up of pods allowed us to get to know the groups. Welcome to Katelyn Laide who settled in well for her first day.

Very well done to Mary- Kate O’Shea for earning the player of the week trophy.

U13’s: Our final preparation for our first County league game goes ahead this week with a friendly game on the Bank Holiday Monday v Annascaul/Lispole & training on Friday at 6pm.

The squad prepared v well this year and are v keen to return to playing games where we will have a chance to play as a team and represent our club. We have a talented and hard working squad and hopefully we will have an enjoyable sporting game v Scartaglin on Sun evening next at 6pm.

Covid-19 Update

Games/Attendance: From Monday June 7th, competitive and challenge games at all levels of club and inter county are permitted to take place. However, it is essential that we continue to proceed with caution and that the Return to Play Protocols continue to be followed.

In terms of attendances, 100 spectators will be permitted to attend GAA games (club and inter county). This number is in addition to players, team personnel, stewards or media attendees. For underage games, where parents are attending in a child-protection capacity, they will count as part of the 100 spectators permitted to attend.

Dressing rooms: For club games, Dressing rooms must remain closed. This is to ensure the risk of players or backroom personnel being classified as Close contacts is minimised. As in the Summer of 2020, Players should arrive ready to warm-up and play and leave the ground once the relevant game is over.

Use of Gyms: The use of Gyms for individual training will be permitted from June 7th. However, we are advising that club or county owned Gyms should remain closed for the moment, unless being used on an individual basis by players on a county panel. Again, this is being advised on the basis of ensuring the risk of an outbreak in a club among your players is minimized.

Family fun days/ fundraising events: It is permitted to hold family fun days or other fundraising events from June 7th, provided the numbers involved do not exceed 100 persons. It is possible that this number may increase to 200 from July 5th which is subject to the ongoing health situation – this will be confirmed in advance of that date if this is to be permitted or not.

Indoor meetings: All Club and county meetings should continue to be held remotely until further notice.

Birthday Wishes

Best wishes to Senior team coach, Eoin Sayers who marked a significant birthday with a “0” last week.
