KERRY got the tail end of Storm Jonas last night and this morning, leaving many areas with spot flooding.

Up to 25mm of rain fell across Kerry overnight from about 11pm.

The road at Ballymullen had to be closed for a time earlier today as the fire service attended the scene and residents had to get the sandbags out again.

By 8.30am the flooding had subsided for the road to reopen again. The wind is also causing problems and there were reports of slates coming away from the roof of a house in Boherbee.

  1. Not ideal to see Ballymullen and the Tralee bypass flooded again this morning, but all credit to Kerry County Council and the Fire Services out in force overnight and early this morning to deal with swiftly as usual.
