AN exciting, new three-year employment programme for women in Kerry, supported by NEWKD is looking for new recruits and will host a free information session next week.

The Moving On programme offers women free training, support and links with employers and while it only began last September, it is going from strength to strength.

59 women have participated in the programme so far and 25 women have already found work, with others returning to training and education.

Lisa Fingleton, the project co-ordinator says, “I believe this is a great opportunity for women. So many women I have met over the last few years have huge skills and experience but some are lacking confidence after years at home. Women are telling us how they are sending out so many CVs and getting no response. This programme supports women to set new goals and achieve their dreams. It’s never too late”.

After a very successful first year, Moving On is currently recruiting for 2018-19. The first course is already fully booked and a second course will start at the end of September.

In order to find out more, women are invited to the next free information morning which will take place from 10.00-12:00 Wednesday the 19th September at Aras an Phobail, Tralee.

Please contact them to book a place or to find out more about becoming a participant on the programme. For more information contact: Lisa O’Flaherty 087 7647446 lisaoflaherty@newkd.ie
