Met Éireann are predicting that the sun will shine over Easter with temperatures of up to 15c expected, so it’s finally some good news when it comes to the weather.

You would be forgiven for thinking that we had dipped back into winter over the past week, but an upturn conditions is expected over Saturday, Sunday and going into the following week.

Met Eireann’s forecast for Munster says that today will be…

“Becoming mainly dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees with fresh, gusty northwest winds.

Dry tonight with some clear spells at first, but becoming increasingly cloudy overnight with a little misty drizzle possible in the west later. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.

Tomorrow will be dry and mostly cloudy on Saturday morning. Some sunny breaks will develop as the day goes on, the best of these in the east. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees with light variable breezes.”

So there’s a great opportunity now to plan some outdoor activity for the coming days.
