GARDAI and emergency personnel attended the scene of an incident shortly before 4pm this afternoon, where it is understood a teenager suffered multiple stab wounds.
The incident occurred near a laneway between Kerins Park and Caheranne. Gardaí closed off the laneway and the 19 year old who suffered injuries was taken to University Hospital Kerry, where his condition is described as stable.
An 18 year old male has been arrested and detained at Tralee Garda Station. Gardaí are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. They can be contacted on 066-02300.
