Texas Rose Arden Stringer.

TEXAS Rose Arden Stringer is the first contestant to go odds-on to win the 2022 Rose of Tralee following strong support after the first group of roses took to the stage on Monday night.

The 29-year-old was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and received her MA in Writing in Boston. The beautiful brunette attended Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2017 and has been working in the cookery industry since where she found Food Styling.

BoyleSports chalked Stringer up at 20/1 in the early betting, but she has been gradually supported with her chances now into an all-time low of 10/11 after she shared her desire to become a food writer with presenter Dáithí Ó Sé.

Galway Rose Clare Ann Irwin is also on the move with her odds cut into 9/2 from 20/1 to be joint second favourite with Kerry Rose Édaein O’Connell.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Texas Rose Arden Stringer is now odds-on to win the Rose of Tralee crown after we cut her into 10/11 from 9/4. The support just keeps on coming for the 29-year-old, but Galway Rose Clare Ann Irwin is on the move too and it’ll be interesting to see what the second group of roses have up their sleeves.”
