SEAN O’Shea has picked up his third GAA.ie Footballer Of The Week award this year, but this time it’s not for his performances in green and gold.
The Kenmare forward was in scintillating form for UCC bagging 2-3 as the college proved too strong for NUIG in Sunday’s Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup Semi-Final.
The prolific UCC forward earned 6,310 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page, with Corofin’s Gary Sice second on 4,035 votes and Dr Crokes’ Tony Brosnan third on 3,885 votes.
With Dara Moynihan winning last week’s award for his performance against Dublin, and Sean O’Shea taking it the previous two weeks, the ‘drive for five’ is on for a Kerry player to shine this Sunday when the Kingdom travel to play Galway in Round 4 of the Allianz Football League.
