The Brogue Wins Munster Carvery Pub Of The Year Again

KIRBY’S Brogue Inn has once again won the annual Knorr Great Carvery Pub of the Year competition for the Munster region.

The Rock Street hostelry was one of three pubs shortlisted for the Munster final of the competition and will now go forward to Great Carvery Pub of the Year National Final.

The Brogue was the reigning champion in the Munster region and defended their title facing stiff competition from Bobby Byrne’s in Limerick — who came runner-up — and The Hi-Way Bar, Dooradoyle, Co. Limerick.

The shortlisted nominees received a visit from the team of mystery diners during the summer and the Brogue proved its tops yet again when it comes to carvery lunches.

The Brogue will receive a framed certificate, a Chef Jacket and a Wüsthof 6 Piece Silverpoint Rolls Set.

The overall pub and hotel winners, which will be announced on September 21, will receive; 200,000 worth of UFS Chef Reward Points, a Wüsthof 7 Piece Silverpoint Roll Set, a special plaque and framed certificate to promote the win front of house and a chef jacket.
