Tralee Boxing Club is gearing up for our annual Easter event this coming weekend. We will kick off early with flag days on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of April.

Members and friends of the club will be out at various locations around the town collecting donations for the upkeep and running of the club. As a completely volunteer run not-for-profit club, we depend on volunteers and the good will of people in our community to keep Tralee Boxing Club functioning and able to provide a space for everyone to develop and grow through boxing.

To get involved please contact us on the club WhatsApp page or through Facebook at Tralee Boxing Club. Giving back to the club, in the form of a couple of hours of your time would be deeply appreciated.

The club will close on Good Friday and Easter Monday, also there will be a slight change to the regular class schedule. Check out TBC Facebook page or the WhatsApp for details of classes over the Easter period.

Our Annual Easter Fun Run will take place in the town park on Sunday 9th at 10:30am. The 5km run/walk will be followed by an Easter Party and Raffle, held in the club gym. All members, sponsors, friends of the club and their families are welcome to attend both the run and the Raffle.

Tickets are still on sale from the club gym in Monavalley or contact us on Facebook. There are tons of fantastic prizes on offer. Snap up your tickets now at €5 each or 3 for €10, and you could be picking up a luxury Easter hamper after your Easter Sunday morning jog.

Tralee Boxing Club would like to extend a warm welcome to some new members of our boxing family. John Hailpin and the crew from Inspired at Brandon Court, have added a weekly boxing session to their list of physical activities and are making TBC’S gym their own for the next few weeks.

Inspired is a fantastic community project that empowers adults with learning difficulties to live meaningful and purposeful lives. Inspired supports participants to exercise as much as possible to help them achieve their life goals, and participants can choose from a wide variety of sporting activities, including gym, swimming, football, basketball, walking and now boxing too.

Welcome to the club lads and lasses, we wish you all the best with your fitness and wellbeing, just remember…keep those hands up!

Finally, Tralee Boxing Club is delighted to get the opportunity to host a spot at the 2023 Kerry Club and Volunteer Fair which will take place on Sunday April 2nd at the Meadowlands Hotel in Oakpark, V92DC83.

Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership have teamed up with Kerry Volunteer Centre to celebrate and promote the range of wonderful local community , not-for-profit clubs in the town, and to facilitate members of the public to learn about and meet groups in a friendly, informal setting.

Lynda Nikki and Lee will represent Tralee Boxing Club on Sunday, showcasing some of the boxing highlights of our club as well as the fantastic inclusive programmes we run to promote diversity and inclusion in our community.

Feel like giving back to our community and making a difference in people’s lives right now? Ghandi said, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.” Come along on Sunday if you ‘ve had enough of waiting for others to lead the charge.
