Well done to players and management on a very solid day for this age group.  With matches against Kenmare, Ballyduff, St. Brendan’s Ardfert, Kilmoyley and Ballyheigue, there was plenty of opportunity for game time for the travelling squad of 22 players.

In their first 3 games Parnells were solid in defence and also worked good scoring opportunities, a great start to a long day for players of these ages.

The second last game against Ballyduff was a low scoring and intense match, with Parnells just squeaking ahead by the minimum before the final whistle.

The hectic and demanding fixture list was taking a toll by the time of the final game and Parnells had to dig deep to try to keep up with a strong Kenmare Shamrocks side who were playing very well and taking good scores.

In the closing stages our players found the composure to hold out the attack when it counted and keep the scores coming at the other end.  Overall a great outing in Abbeydorney and a development opportunity that will stand to this group of players.

Very well done to Ger Donnellan, Agnes Sheehy and their helpers.  Congratulations to the team for representing our club so well on the day.
