Cúl Camps 2018:

Cúl Camps launch night 25th June in Caherslee GAA from 7pm – 8:30pm.  Good luck to the Parnells players who will be there on the night.

Minors vs Kilmoyley:
Good luck to Parnells minors who face Kilmoyley in round 1 of the 1B Minor County League.
This division also has St. Brendan’s Ardfert, Ballyduff and Lixnaw. so 3 more group games coming up.

Under 10 Boys:Thanks to Lixnaw for travelling to Caherslee last week to play our Under 10 boys. We played with two 7 a side teams and our lads played very well.  We gave a home game on Friday evening (29th) in Caherslee against Crotta. Meeting time is 6.40.

Summer Camp 2018:
Our summer camp is back and its now over 4 days.  Application forms will be distributed at training on Tuesday and Friday nights and hopefully available in all local schools.  Camp runs from Monday the 9th to 12th of July, 10 to 1pm and it’s only €35 per child.

Celtic Challenge:
After a positive start it was defeat for the Kerry U17s, a strong East Cork team ran out easy winners and they now go on to play Kilkenny in the semi final.  We’ll done to Kerry for a good run in the competition.  Three Parnells players were on the starting 15 for that 1/4 of the Celtic Challenge Division 1.

National Feile Skills:
Best of luck to Ellen O’Donoghue,Causeway who will represent Kerry in the National Feile Skills Star Challenge. This will take place on Saturday, June 23rd in the National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown, Dublin.

Under 16 Boys:
Defeat for Parnells in the U16 championship last week against Kilmoyley.  The match finished level at full time but a heap of goals by Kilmoyley in extra time saw them over the line.

Blast from the not so distant past:
4 years ago this week Parnells Brian Lonergan came 4th in the overall National Féile Skills competition and won the Christy Ring section of the competition in Armagh.  Great kid and a serious athlete who has represented Kerry in Hurling, Football and Soccer. This week he lined out in goals for the Kerry U20 footballers.
