Under 14 Camogie Final:
Tralee Parnells U14 team fiercely contested the County League B Final v. Killarney on Monday, June 15th at Crotta GAA.

The final score, in favor of Killarney, belied the outstanding effort and skill displayed by a Parnells team made up mostly of U12 players.

Lia O’Connell dominated the game, easily out-striding the opposition on many solo runs to get her team out of trouble. Her sister, Ruth, made some excellent saves on the goal line. The long puck of Katie Dwyer consistently dropped well into the other half of the pitch.

Hannah Sharkey and Shona O’Connor, ably-assisted by the duo of Ailbhe Ni Dhalaigh and Aoife O’Sullivan, had some unlucky misses at the scoring end. Yasmine Sultan and Saoirse Maloney anchored the Parnells midfield and thwarted many attacks by the opposition.

Tara O’Connor once again proved her fearlessness with some heart-stopping block downs. Mentors, supporters and spectators alike were treated to a fast-paced, passionate display by an emerging team. Thank you to Killarney for a very sporting match. Beidh la eile ag an bPaorach.

Camogie Night of Champions:
The atmosphere was jubilant as members of the Kerry Senior Camogie team, Division 4 National League and Munster Junior Cup champions, arrived in Caherslee on Friday night.

Over 40 Parnells players and mentors formed a guard of honour to welcome the camogie heroes. The senior players ran the U10, U12 and U14 training sessions, giving praise and pointers to the young Parnells players.

Afterwards, the county players graciously autographed hurleys and jerseys and stood for photos with their well-earned silverware. Gerard O’Brien, Vice Chairman of the club, thanked captain, Michelle Costello, and team mates, Aoife Fitzgerald, Gillian McNamara, Treise Moran, Julianne O’Keeffe, Elaine Ryall and Megan Weir, for taking time from their busy work and training schedules to pass on their expertise and advice to our players.

We join Ger in wishing the Kerry Senior Camogie team continued success for the rest of the 2015 season and beyond.  See photos on our https://www.facebook.com/Tralee.Camogie page on Facebook
Under 15s:
Goals win games and this was certainly the case this evening in Dromakee Thursday evening. Our U15’s were 1 point up with 10 minutes to go in the North Kerry Championship on the evening but we ended up losing by 6 points to Crotta.

Far too many missed chances and needless fouling eventually caught up with us. Every player gave their all but we need to play a bit smarter in future. Final score 5-05 to 2-08.
