traleeparnells 2Training every Friday:

Our summer break is over and we will be back training as usual every Friday night in August, 7pm at Caherslee Road.

Parnells Selected for Community Fund:

Parnells have been selected by Tesco Manor for their local Community fund initiative.  From Monday the 3rd of August All blue tokens added to the Parnells drum will add up to make a big difference for our Primary Schools coaching programme in the Tralee town, Ballymac, Churchill, Fenit and Blennerville areas.

Community Outreach:

As part of our ongoing Parnells initiatives to bring hurling to children in the local community, the club participated again this year in the St. Brigid’s Community Centre family fun evening in new Marian Park this week. There was enthusiastic participation by local boys and girls in the skills sessions with mentors including Joe Brennan and Ian Brick.  Our club secretary David got the names of a few children who showed great interest and promise and who we hope will come to Caherslee on Fridays where we develop our emerging talent.

Parnells Cúl Camp:

Parnells hurling and camogie Cúl camp takes place the 10th to the 14th of August.  To avail of family discounts (for 2nd and 3rd children), all bookings must be made in one transaction. Sign up online at https://www.gaa.ie/youth-zone/kelloggs-gaa-cul-camps/

Kerry Development Squad:

Well done to Parnells players Devon, Darragh and Ruarí who were among the Kerry under 14 hurling development team that defeated Kildare in Newbridge at the weekend.

Club Day in September:
Saturday the 12th of September will be a busy day for Parnells at the new Mitchells facility.  The blitzes are invitational so there will be teams coming from outside the county.  We have the whole venue booked from 10 am to 2pm, the plan is to run the following blitzes.

Activities on the day will include Under 6 boys and girls on the Astro Pitch, Under 8 boys and girls – Juvenile Pitch, Under 10 boys North Kerry Blitz – Main Pitch, Under 10/12 Camogie – Main Pitch, Under 16 – Floodlight Pitch & Juvenile Pitch.  All parents and mentors who are available to help on the day with stewarding and with the teams, please make yourselves known to Dermot or to any club officer.
