Darragh Moloney, Donnacha Buttimer, Katie Dwyer and Ellen Cooke, runners-up in the Scór na nÓg County Finals at the weekend.

Scór na nÓg
Pride of place this week goes to our quiz team who came second in the County Scór na nÓg Finals which took place in Glenbeigh last Sunday. They lost out in a tiebreak to Spa, both teams having finished on 52/60, with the winners going forward to represent Kerry in the Munster Finals. Congrats to Katie Dwyer, Ellen Cooke, Darragh Moloney & Donncha Buttimer  on great answering. This is a young team, so búiochas le Dia go mbeidh lá eile acu.

Camogie
At a well attended Camogie County Convention last week, we got the news that Tralee Parnells is now officially the largest camogie club in the county with 182 juvenile and adult players! This was fantastic news and is reward for the hard work and dedication put in by Carmel Moloney and her team since the club was founded a short number of years ago. Onwards and upwards.

Bag Packing

The club had the first of its two big bag packing fundraisers last Sunday 15th December at Tesco’s in Manor West, which was very well supported. This Sunday, 22nd December, a team of players and mentors will be at Dunnes Stores, North Circular Road and the Horan Centre. Funds collected will be used towards the running of the club. Please look out for them and any support would be very much appreciated.

School’s Hurling
With Mercy Mounthawk having defeated Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí last Wed 11th December in the Munster Hurling GAA Post Primary Schools Senior E semi-final, they will now face Tralee CBS in a repeat of last year’s all-Tralee final on Thurs 19th December @ 6:30pm, venue to be confirmed.

This should be a mouth-watering clash and many of the Tralee Parnells U16, minor and U21 players will line out for their respective schools. Keep an eye on local media for confirmation of venue (and date/time in case it changes).
