IF your travelling by rail to or from Tralee next week, be prepared for more than a ‘change at Mallow’.
There will be engineering works taking place on the line between Killarney and Farranfore from Monday, February 2 to Thursday, February 5, which means Tralee passengers will have to get buses to and from Killarney on their journeys.
Here’s the details of the changes as shown on the Irish Rail website:
Monday, February 2
08.55 Cork/Tralee, 11.20 Mallow/Tralee and 13.20 Mallow/Tralee services will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
13.05 Tralee/Mallow and 15.05 Tralee/Mallow services will be bus transfers from Tralee to Farranfore and Killarney and train from Killarney to Mallow.
Tuesday, February 3
08.55 Cork/Tralee, 11.20 Mallow/Tralee and 13.20 Mallow/Tralee services will operate to Killarney only. Bus Transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
13.20, 15.18 & 17.25 Mallow/Tralee services will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
17.05 Heuston/Tralee will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
11.05, 13.05, 15.05, 17.05 and 19.05 Tralee/Mallow services will be bus transfers from Tralee to Farranfore and Killarney. Train from Killarney to Mallow.
20.55 Cork/Tralee service will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
Wednesday, February 4
06.45 and 08.55 Cork/Tralee services will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
11.20 and 13.20 Mallow/Tralee services will operate to Killanrey only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
05.55 Tralee/Cork will be bus transfers from Tralee to Killarney and train onwards from Killarney to Cork.
07.00 Tralee/Heuston will be bus transfers from Tralee and Killarney and by train onwards from Killarney to Heuston.
09.05, 11.05 ,13.05 and 15.05 Tralee/Mallow services will be bus transfers from Tralee to Farranfore and Killarney and train onwards to Mallow.
Thursday, February 5
08.55 Cork/Tralee will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate to Farranfore and Tralee.
11.20 and 13.20 Mallow/Tralee will operate to Killarney only. Bus transfers will operate from Killarney to Farranfore and Tralee.
11.05. 13.05 and 15.05 Tralee/Mallow will be bus transfers from Tralee to Farranfore and Killarney and train onwards to Mallow.
