TRALEE Rotary has helped out a young girl who is battling a serious illness.
Four year old Rose O’Flaherty from Ballymac lives with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Athrophy (SMA). Currently there is no cure for SMA, but there are treatments available to manage symptoms and reduce discomfort.
A group of family, friends and local community have set out to raise funds to help with her needs. The campaign has raised over €80,000 since it was launched back in June.
Tralee Rotary has donated €500 and its President Sharon Hayes handed it over to Rose and her mom, Karen, on Monday. For more information about the campaign check out www.helprosebloom.ie
