Moyderwell pupils visit Radio Kerry on Monday morning.

THE pupils at Moyderwell had a busy end to the school year and were up to their video-making shenanigans again.

They decided to enter a Radio Kerry birthday competition and created a video of their version of the hit song Cheerleader from OMI.

“Great fun was had, and is an ideal way to finish off the school year,” said teacher Denis Griffin who helped make the video.

“Lots of history, geography and information technology were incorporated into video. The children got to dress up in medieval costumes in Kerry County Museum and even got to give Mary O’Connor, the original Rose of Tralee, her own colourful sash in the town park while shooting scenes,” said Denis.

On Monday morning, 25 children along with teachers Eoin Sayers and Denis Griffin visited Radio Kerry to present their latest music video along with a special birthday cake and a massive birthday card signed by all the pupils to the staff of Radio Kerry.

The school could be in with a chance of winning €5,000 as part of the Radio Kerry birthday celebrations which would be used to further enhance the IT equipment throughout the school.
