Fundraising

After our inaugural 5K run today, St Brendan’s Park Fc, would like to thank all the competitors who participated in the run. It went off exactly as we had hoped! A Massive success!

For all the coaches and volunteers who got everything in order, and there was a lot of work put in behind the scenes, a massive thank you, without you this great event would have been a non runner pardon the pun!

A sincere thank you to Randall Wharton who organised the running side of the event! Our chef Mike O’Leary and his crew for slaving on the BBQ all day, Mary and Aisling McLoughlin in the shop working tirelessly, Gerard Mcelligott the first aider, Tralee Garda Station, our secretary Colm McLoughlin and Director of Football Padraig McCannon(Poga) and the rest of the managementcommittee who put a massive effort in organising everything from cleaning up to sponsorship! And not to forget the great support we had to cheer on the runners!

Thanks to all the local businesses who helped us by sponsoring the race:

The Kerry U13 headed to the Galway Cup the week gone. They had 2 squad made up of 20 players each. With 14 Park FC players between both squads 9 in the elite and 5 in the boys squad! A great achievement for any club to have so many players representing their county! Both side came second in the respective group and went in to the Plate Final.
Kerry Elite play Dundalk in the Plate Final. Kerry went up 1-0 after 16 mins. Eoghan Hassett with the goal.
Dundalk equalised 2 mins later.
Kerry go back in front after 14 minutes of the second half. Cianan Cooney(Park) with a cracking free kick.
Kerry concede goal in last minute to send the game to penalties.
Hard luck on the Kerry boys who lost out 4-2 on penalties.
