Coiste na nÓg News:
U16 Boys:

Our U16s entertained Na Gaeil in the first round of the County League Division 2 in Ballymac on Monday .
Despite Ballymac getting the first score , Na Gaeil were quick to get into their stride and were 1 03 to 0 01  ahead after 15 mins of play .  A heavy shower of rain midway through the first half made playing conditions difficult.  But  fair play to Ballymac for sticking to the task , a penalty from Adam Joy and 2 points , one from Daragh Sweeney & one from Donal Daly left the score at the interval 2 06 to 1 03 in favour of Na Gaeil .
In the second half Na Gaeil took the game to Ballymac and pressed on with some excellent point scoring to put themselves in a commanding position heading into the last quarter .

Another penalty from Adam Joy hit the back off the net and Sean Horan was unfortunate to hit the post and our luck seem to desert us on the night . Na Gaeil went on to win on the night on the score line of Na Gaeil 2 15 Ballymac 3 05 . Thanks to all parents who supported us on the night and thanks to Na Gaeil for a fine sporting Game on the night .
Players to impress were Adam Kelly Adam Sheehy Maurice o Connell & Daragh Sweeney .

Next game is at home on Wednesday next the 26th June V Ardfert at 7pm

U14Boys:
Our u14 Boys began their Division One Central Region campaign with a trip to Killorglin to play Laune Rangers on Monday June 17th last.

This was our first outing since our Co League success and in the early stages of the game we showed a bit of rustiness due to the gap between games which saw the home side hit 2-5 without reply .However our boys showed great character to fight back and by half time had reduced the deficit with a score line of 2-11 to 2-5.

An early goal and some well taken points brought us to within a point of the opposition unfortunately for us this was as close as we got as Laune Rangers scored a couple of goals to seal victory for them on a 5-17 to 5-7 score line.

Despite the loss it was a good performance from our lads against  a team who took part in Division One of the Co League.

We now have Austin Stacks ,Churchill and Ardfert to play in this competition.

Ballymac were well represented on the u14 Castleisland District panel who played West Kerry in the Divisional Board Shield Final held in Austin Stack Park on Thursday evening last.

Aidan Horgan. Diarmuid Galvin. Sean Rice,Niall Collins, Luke Horgan, Skye Lynch and Conor Martin all saw action on the night, with John Rice part of the management team.

Unfortunately the boys from the West proved too strong on the night and took home the spoils.

Parking/Traffic Arrangements for Sunday Academy.

For Health & Safety reason on every Sunday morning we ask all parents dropping off children to the academy , to park outside the Main Gates and walk into the pitch with children.   The Main gates will be closed as its too dangerous immediately after training to accommodate all the cars leaving etc. We thank you all  in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
