Ballymac U10 Boys who hosted Na Gaeil for  a friendly game in Ballymac on Sunday morning last.

Senior team:
Our Senior team travelled to Annascaul on Saturday night last and came away with a good win and now have 11 points on the County League Division 2 Table.

A hugely open and free flowing game in Annascaul ended in a comprehensive victory for the visiting side.

Annascaul started the game well with the opening two points before Ballymac levelled the game. The teams then traded goals and points before the home side then scored their second goal to edge 4 points clear. Ballymac then responded with a well worked 1-1 to leave the scores level 2-4 apiece.

The teams then swapped the next 4 points between each other before a loose ball in the Annascaul box was scrambled to the net to leave the score at half time 3-6 to 2-6 at the half for the visitors.

Ballymac exploded into life upon the restart, scoring 2-6 in response to 0-1 in the opening 15 minutes of the second half.

Their dominance around the middle, excellent tackling and support play allied to expert finishing turned the game in their favour, 5-11 to 2-7.

Annascaul would valiantly try until the bitter end but poor discipline would compound their efforts leaving them with only 12 players at the end, a late Ballymac goal the icing on the cake. The final score, 6-17 to 3-12 for the visitors.

The next round of The Senior Football League  is against Ardfert and we do not know the date of this game yet. It depends on the progress of St Brendan’s Hurling Team in The Championship.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the Senior Team at home and away all year.

U13 Girls

Our u13 Girls participated in the Sandra Keane Memorial Blitz held in John Mitchels on Saturday last.

Our first group game proved to be a close affair against Legion with a goal with the last kick of the game seeing us win on a 2-7 to 3-3 scoreline.

Subsequent victories over Na Gaeil and Dingle/Annascaul saw us qualify for a Cup semi-final with Desmonds providing the opposition.

Our girls played some excellent football in this game which saw them make the Final with a 2-7 to 1-4 win.

The Cup Final against Austin Stacks saw the exercetions of the days football catch up with Ballymac as theTralee side ran out deserved winners on the day.

Nevertheless our Girls can be proud of their displays and it certainly was a great achievement to reach the Final out of the 15 Clubs which participated.

They now look forward to the County Championship next weekend when we take on Miltown/Listry.
