Congrats to our girls and boys mixed team who represented us so well, in the Jack Rahilly Blitz in Scartaglin.

2 losses in our 1st 2 games put us into the Shield Final against Desmonds.

Some very brave defending and excellent score taking enabled us to claim victory in this game, thus finishing the day on a high.

Big thanks to Scart GAA for hosting a great Blitz and especially the Rahilly family of Scart, of whom Donal is resident in Ballymac and extremely active in our club.

Academy

.

Academy U5s

Our youngest Academy players had a blast this week when we introduced three new games. To practice our passing and kicking skills we played musical football with Coach Ger (and Apprentice Coach Andrew). Working on our fundamental movement we did the slippery snake relay with Coach Cat. We finished our session with the Minefield, where we practiced our ball control through a full field of hazards. Well done everyone.

NOTE:  Academy will take place at 10am next Saturday morning due to the Kerry game on Sunday.

U7 boys and girls had their first away go game on Wednesday when they travelled to Firies. We played 3 games and a great evening was had by all with some great skills from the boys and girls. Thanks to Firies for hosting.

Mothers and Others

Ballymac Mothers and Others braved the inclement weather conditions as they played Castleisland Desmonds on Thursday 6th July. Football and banter was in full flow as we took to the pitch and put our skills to the test! A great evening was had by all. Thanks to Castleisland Desmonds for the invitation and hospitality after the game. #myreasonwhy #lgfa
