A NIGHT out to support a striker Tralee native has been organised for the end of the month which will see live bands and DJs entertain at Benners Hotel.

‘Bands For Bubbles’ is being held on Friday, January 31 in aid of Siobhain Maher Sequeval. Siobhan (51), originally from Connolly Park and Doon, Listellick, now lives in France with her husband François and suffered a major stroke and aneurysm last month. She is currently in a hospital in Nice.

To ease the financial burden, a gofundme page was started last week which has realised nearly €5,000 so far (click here to see page).

Now, friends and family are planning a big night later this month where local rock bands Midnite Cafe, Zedz Dead, Renovator and Brightside as well as Atlantic DJs Kerry Alan Farmer, will take to the stage in Benners.

Tickets at €15 (or €20 at the door on the night) will be available from next Tuesday at An Cearnóg in the Square, That’s Perfect, Benners Hotel and Bailys Corner. Doors open at 9pm. It’s set to be a fantastic night to help out Siobhain and your support is greatly appreciated by her family in Tralee.

• To help with the fundraising, on Friday, January 31, Image Hair and Beauty Salon in Oakpark will be donating their days takings from the salon to support Siobhain’s recovery. All donations are greatly appreciated  and there will be a collection bucket for anyone who isn’t having a hair service done and would just like to donate on the day.
