Break-Ins And Thefts At Businesses And Cars Around Tralee

GARDAI in Tralee are appealing to the public for information after a number of thefts and break-ins to businesses and cars in the Tralee area over the past few weeks.

Last Wednesday, September 26, there was a break-in at Fone Dealz on Castle Street at about 3.40am.

The front door was forced open and five people with their faces covered entered the shop. A large quantity of phones taken in a short time frame and the robbers left in two separate cars.

This is the second time this year that the shop has been broken into. Back in April a number of phones were stolen from the shop.

Also, there was a break-in at Billy Naughtons motor dealership at the Mile Height on Monday September 24 into the morning of Tuesday, September 25. An electric polishing unit, worth €200 was taken and the door broken.

There were also a number of cars broken into in Tralee in the past two weeks. On Wednesday September 19, a number of items were taken from unlocked cars including two handbags, at Mitchels Court. Thieves also stole cash and a radio.

Another car broken into in Ballyrickard Court was damaged but nothing taken. Gardai are advising people to always lock their cars and not leave any valuables on show.

Finally, aAnother burglary – between September 4-8t, a shed at Waterloo Lane, Oakpark Tralee was broken into and Christmas decorations were taken. Gardai are asking for witnesses or information relating too any of the above mentioned crimes to contact them at Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
