IT brightens up the normally dreary month of November and this time it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.

The National Circus Festival of Ireland will take place in town from Thursday, November 8 to Sunday, November 11, with shows, workshops, street entertainment, parades and more.

Organised by Tralee man Con Horgan, there’s a packed schedule of events in venues all over town. Some of the highlights include the Circus Siamsa, a variety show, held each year in Siamsa Tíre theatre.

This year, as every year, an entirely new show has been created by Fanzini Productions  bringing the stars of contemporary circus, street and variety performance to the stage in Siamsa. It takes place on Saturday at 2pm and 5.30pm.

The Circus Convention takes place every day with open training and workshops in juggling and prop work, there’s a lunchtime walkabout on Thursday from performers,

Guido Fanzini gives hilarious, if not exactly accurate tours of Tralee on the Tralee People’s Bus Service on Friday and Saturday of the festival. This year Guido will be joined by legendary balladeer Willy Kelly.

There’s many more amazing highlights, too many to mention here, so the best advice is to head to the National Circus of Ireland website by clicking here to see the full programme and make some bookings.
