Council Plans To Close Doon Road For Nearly Three Months

The Council has given notice it plans to close the Doon Road north of Tralee for almost three months.

KERRY County Council has announced a further road closure, for nearly three months, as part of the replacement of water mains north of Tralee town.

The Council will close to public traffic the L-6093 Doon Road from 8am on Monday, February 28 to 5.30pm on Friday, May 20. The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the replacement of 3km of the existing water main.

This closure forms part of the overall works to facilitate the replacement of 6km of the existing water main between Listellick Cross and Tubrid Reservoir, Tubridmore. The Listellick to Doon Road is currently closed until Wednesday, February 23 as part of the works.

Diversions will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be provided for Emergency Services and local residents.

Any person having an objection to the above proposal should lodge same, in writing, marked Road Closure, with the Administrative Officer, Roads, Transportation and Marine Department, County Buildings, Tralee, or by e-mail to roads@kerrycoco.ie not later than 5pm on February 8.
