THE Fenit RNLI are now seeking new members to join their ranks. The 24 hour rescue service requires a deep commitment, but if you are up for the challenge the station will be holding an open day at the station on March 26.

The new lifeboat crew members would serve a large area that extends beyond Kerry, also assisting other lifeboat and emergency services when needed.

No experience is necessary and all training will be provided. They are looking for men and women over the age of 17 (with parental permission) who live in close proximity to the station, around 10 minutes away.

The RNLI are very dependant on both volunteers and fundraisers, which allow them to continue the great work that they do.

If you’d be interested in becoming a member make sure you head along to the open day or in the meantime any questions can be answered by contacting the lifeboat operations manager Gerard O’Donnell on 087 256 9772.
