3. Go for a swim…

Whether it’s Banna, Fenit or Ballyheigue there’s Christmas Day swims only  a short drive from town.

The Fenit one, in aid of the RNLI, starts at 12 noon and is the biggest in the county with upwards of 800 people regularly taking part.

For slightly later risers, the Banna swim takes place at 12.30pm, so if you want to blow off the cobwebs from the few sherrys on Christmas Eve, take a dip.

4. Walk off the turkey…

Join Michael ‘Fox’ O’Connor and friends for the annual Bill Kirby Memorial Walk on St Stephen’s Day. It starts at the Brogue Inn at 11.30am but the fun and entertainment beings at 11am.

5. Family fun at the rugby club…

Tralee Rugby Club is hosting its annual St Stephen’s Day 5k Fun Run beginning at 12pm.

The Fun Run precedes the annual Tralee RFC v Exiles rugby match which kicks off at 2pm and promises as ever to be an entertaining afternoon.
