THREE Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí students will head to Dublin this May to compete in the Junk Kouture National Finals.

Junk Kouture is an eco-conscious fashion competition that allows post-primary school students from all over the country to design, create, and model creations – all made from recycled items.

On March 4 and March 5, ‘Fatal Fashion’ was one of 160 designs shortlisted from schools across the country to participate at the Junk Kouture Regional Finals 2024 in the Helix in Dublin.

The Junk Kouture judges – couture designer Claire Garvey, Miss Universe Ireland 2023 Aishah Akorede and former Junk Kouture winner Maxim O’Sullivan –  had a tough job adjudicating, but eventually whittled it down to 60 finalist to compete at the Dublin City Final 2024 in May.
