GARDAI are warning the public about bogus callers after an incident in Connolly Park recently.
Two men called to the home of an elderly resident and offered to clean the gutters. They charged him excessively for the work which was not completed to an acceptable standard.
Gardaí are asking people not to engage with persons calling to homes offering to do this type of work. They are also asking residents to look out for their neighbours and report any suspicious behaviour.
Also, they are asking people not to leave garden tools, machinery or lawn mowers out in plain sight and to store them away when not in use.
