Funds kindly donated by Bons Secours Tralee will go towards Inspired tourism project called ‘Ability Tralee’ which aims to promote Tralee as an ability-friendly tourist destination.

Over the past six months, group members have been calling into businesses and amenities around Tralee to assess how sensitive the staff are to people with disabilities and how accessible they are.

It is hoped the research for ‘Ability Tralee’ will be concluded by next summer. Inspired will then bring their results to businesses and tourist spots and talk about them. Ultimately they hope to produce an app that will assist and promote Tralee as friendly destination for people of all abilities.
