Kerry hosted the Munster Senior (Premier) and Grade E Championships Closed in Killarney Sports & Leisure Centre on 30th January 2022.

Kerry did extremely well with Deina Vesko starting us off by winning the Ladies Grade E singles.

Paddy Redmond reached the semi-finals of the Mens Grade E Singles coming up against a very strong Ethan Tritschler who went on to win.

Deina Vesko then went on to win the Ladies Doubles with Brid Murphy beating Samira Hayes and Helen Browne in the final.

To finish with a treble Deina Vesko then won the Mixed Doubles with partner Paddy Redmond. On the other side of the draw Helen Browne and Cathal Donovan fought a good battle in the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles.

Kerry also played their part in the Premier division with Edel Kenny and Ciara O’Connor reaching the semi-finals of the Ladies Doubles and Fergal Hannon in the semi-finals of both the Singles and the Mens Doubles.

Thanks to our own Rita McCarthy for co-ordinating a well run Championship with Trudy Kennedy.
