The warning is valid from 5pm today to 5am on Friday morning. The rain warning is on account of heavy squally downpours and thunderstorms bringing a risk of spot flooding at times today and tonight.

It took effect from 9am this morning to 5am on Friday. It looks like Kerry will escape the worst of the rain this afternoon, but tonight and the early morning hours will see very heavy showers sweep up the county.
