A NUMBER of Kerry projects are among 43 nationwide to share €5.8m in funding announced for creative, cultural and artistic initiatives under the new Creative Climate Action Fund II.

The Creative Climate Action fund is an initiative from the Creative Ireland Programme in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications that supports creative, cultural and artistic projects that build awareness around climate change and empower citizens to make meaningful behavioural transformations.

There are three Kerry projects included.  ‘Creative Coastal Resilience’ seeks to embed creativity into the work of the Maharees Conservation Committee to ensure the region is well-adapted for the challenges created by climate change.
