LIKE most of the country, the people of Kerry have given the nod for same-sex couples to get married as the final results from the two constituencies are in.
In the Kerry North/West Limerick constituency, 55.5% voted ‘Yes’ and 44.5% voted ‘No’.
There was a 57.2% turnout with 19,678 voting Yes and 15,808 against.
The count was held at the KDYS, Denny Street.
Meanwhile, in the Kerry South constituency, the vote was very similar with a Yes vote of 55.3% (18,357) to 44.7% (14,831) against.
The turnout was higher than the Kerry North constituency at 58.2%.
