EARLIER we told you that Yummy Café and The Roast House received a large amount of nominations each in the prestigious Irish Restaurant Awards.
Well, Kirby’s Brogue Inn just got notification this morning that they received a whopping 13 nominations.
“It means a great deal to myself and Kevin to have been nominated in so many categories” said Fiona Kirby. “We are delighted that our team, who have worked so hard in building up the business with us, are getting recognition for all their hard work. We are honoured to have been included in the nominations along with other great establishments in our wonderful town,” she added.

The Rock Street business is nominated in the following categories: Best Restaurant; Best Chef – Kevin Cotter; Best Restaurant Manager – Fiona Kirby; Best Restaurant Manager – Brian Morgan; Best Café; Best Casual Dining; Best Customer Service; Best Emerging Irish Cuisine; Best Gastro Pub; Best Hotel Restaurant; Best Kids Size Me; Best Newcomer and Best Wine Experience.
The Irish Restaurant Awards are coveted accolades in the Irish Restaurant Industry. They recognise the achievement and excellence of various restaurants around the country in up to 21 different categories.
The full list of nominees has not been released yet by the organisers of the awards until all businesses have been notified, so more Tralee businesses may be informed that they are nominated.
